Honestly, I have received a decent amount of criticism for how much I lock Ninja in his room and frankly, I do not care. Today is a perfect example as to why those people can just SHHH! ;) I lock Ninja in there because A-he's a NINJA, B-he's prone to dangerous situations and C-it cuts my time in 1/2 (if he's safe in his room, I can get crap done without checking on him every 30 secs). So, I lock him in his room at night, obviously. I lock him in his room so I can shower & sometimes I lock him in his room when I get ready (hair, make-up, clothes...etc.) or when I'm cleaning. Cujo, I mean Ninja, broke his dang door last week and it's been one hell of a time figuring out how to work around that. Today, we decided to go to the park. I think I was in my room for 3-5 mins, max. (this is all my fault, I should NEVER have let him be alone that long. GRR.) and by the time I came out, he had dumped out the ENTIRE can of Nesquik all over my kitchen and eaten an entire stick of butter. He seriously looked like a truffle-sorry I didn't take pics, I really didn't want him thinking this was OK.
In my opinion, anyone who thinks that I'm mistreating my son by locking him in his room should have to clean up his messes.
|That would be his butt mark in the middle.|
PS. When Ninja saw my face, he didn't even need a working lock to know that he wasn't getting out of his room any time soon.
